Academic Freedom
School Board Approved: May 21, 2018
Teachers are entitled to freedom when discussing their assigned subject matter in the classroom, but shall limit themselves to comments that are directly related to the curriculum established by the Board.
Teachers should, at all times, be accurate, exercise appropriate restraint, show respect for the opinions of others, and make every effort to indicate that they are not institutional spokespersons.
