Weapons on School Property
School Board Approved: May 6, 2019

Weapons are not permitted in school buildings, on school property, in school vehicles or at school-sponsored activities. This policy applies to students and member of the public alike.

Weapons, such as, but not limited to, firearms, explosives, incendiaries, martial arts weapons (as defined in RSA 159:24), electronic defense weapons (as defined in RSA 159:20), clubs, billies, metallic knuckles or containers containing chemicals such as pepper gas or mace, or the use of any object as a weapon are not permitted. Student violations of this policy will result in both school disciplinary action and notification of the police. Suspension or expulsion from school could result.

In addition, any student who is determined to have brought a firearm (as defined by 18 USC §921) to school will be expelled for not less than one year (365 days). This expulsion may be modified by the Superintendent upon review of the specific case in accordance with other applicable law.

All students will receive written notice of this policy at least once each year.
